Could we possibly have a thread in Sardelac of all the changes we want for HoM that are WITHIN REASON? Or do we already have one? No, I won't go there to check. =P This place really needs some fixes.

It's a thing that they should fix. But I don't really care because I barely go into my HoM.

And you'll need more than 100 billion clicks to get the combination you want if you to have the exact combination with 20 statues...

This thread asked the same question. It seemed to have fallen on deaf ears.

Is this pissing you off as well, or don't you care at all ?
welcome to the hall of programming fails

You should know, like so many other of us, that the HoM has lots of points.. that aren't well thought out and could be improved

There is one simple answer for the armor/ title monuments. One checkbox or something or drop down menu for each space. You click that space, click the title you want in that space and there you go.

There would be 5 spots on say a mini map looking thing? To show where each title would be. Of course for mini pets that would be a lot of windows... But it could still be applied.

Just to correct some misconceptions here, when rearranging the statues in your Honor monument (or any of the other monuments for that matter) it doesn't go through all the possible combinations at all. It only goes through about 15 or 20 orso before repeating the cycle of exactly the same combinations and in the same order. Only by adding new statues can you change the combinations that are in the cycle and as mentioned before some combinations always keep showing up, so they seem to have some sort of preference for certain combo's. Also I noticed that in most cases my Tyrian and Canthan (cartographer, skill hunter, etc) take preference over the Elonian ones when they don't all fit.

It just seems an odd and broken concept really. Let's give them some nice monuments so they can display their achievements and then let's add a randomizer button that doesn't work... yeah right. Just sounds like a combination of time constraints and badly rushed work to me. Fortunately I'm not too bugged about it, no one ever goes in there but me anyway. Still would be nice if they added a better rearranging option.

Yes it would be nice to show the things you wanted and in the order you wanted them in.

Go to the LLL thread, page two, and see what Gaile said about this.

Another thing that gets my goat is the fact that you cannot, display weapons of your choice in there, this need sorting out also.

Agreed with totally, absolutely and in all other ways annoying. There are two things that desperately need to be fixed by Anet to keep my playing...The first is armour storage (we need it if i want to display armours in my HoM) and the second is arranging. They made such a big deal out of the HoM and how we would be able to display our legacy, but unfortunately it's impossible for us to 'choose' this legacy we are meant to be able to display.

Ahh...Anet.
Shouldn't we wait for GW2 before we decide if it was disappointing or not

One of the big selling points for EotN and establishing the link to GW2 is the HoM.
It is quite important and the way it was punted by ANet / Gaile indicated as much.

This is especially meaningful in light of GW2 being completely different from GW1 and not being able to link the 2 in terms of items, chars, etc (at least from what I read and the limited information that is around), HoM is the ONLY link between the 2.
ANet made the fuss about it, to dampen the tempers of so many people going ape about not being able to transfer GW1 -> GW2.

Statements are even being made that players will get something for something being in your HoM, upon GW2 release.

HoM From Guildwiki:
Quote:
The Hall of Monuments is an explorable area in the Eye of the North expansion and will be incorporated in Guild Wars 2 to help tie the games together and reward dedicated Guild Wars players in Guild Wars 2.
QFT

Well, they have some work to do, so hopefully HoM will live up to it's perceived greatness.

Fact of the matter is: exact detail, mechanisms, how everything will work upon GW2 release, is still very unknown. Plus, it doesn't look like any changes are planned any time soon for HoM.

You can just read the discussions on Guild Wars Wiki and see all Gaile's responses as "information of this kind has not been released", "the way that the HoM interfaces with Guild Wars 2 has not even been developed on a formal basis", "we don't have that level of detail", etc.
These were from about a 1.5 months ago.
